Your body's telling me otherwise x 3

The spendthrift and the miser herd,
It soors aboon them aw.
But there's a thing among the lave,

04 Beyond the City
V1
You view the world, in silence with your minds eye
Its your concern, how we all will be from now
Like the bird, that lands upon the lonesome tree
You haven't heard, the past they hold of you and me
V2
I've dreamt the dream, and thought of what it all could be
But its not for me, although i have embraced the autumn leaf
Chorus
You're so small you could, fly away
Reach another land, watch the hill foots play
Climb aboard, in hope of an island
You may feel, the breeze upon your face
V3
Feel the burn, of a warming fire
You mustn't learn, of why this fire burns so bright
Your safe assured, that you can lead you infant mind
Across the bay, as the waves surround your side
Chorus
//Jamie McCredie SOLO//

Beyond the City
V4
I view the world, in silence with my minds eye
Its my concern, how we all will be from now
I've seen the bird, that lands upon the broken tree
Who hasn't heard, what the future holds for me

05 Across the River
V1
This party seems so lonely,
Everyone is talking away,
My thought's are just so distant,
I can't think what to say,
My eyes they keep on wandering,
Searching for that old friend
I guess I'll keep on searching,
And meanwhile just pretend.
V2
I see this face so gently,
Eventually it leaves the room,
I'm guessing' she doesn't connect me,
With her sweet life to soon.
I take charge of my own life,
And be places I want to be,
I take some people with me,
But i'm no sure if they want to leave.
Chorus
Welcome eyes,
I see them glide across the river now,
I open mine,
To define a place where we should flee,
Can be alright,
Someday
//Jamie McCredie SOLO//
Chorus
V3
//Jamie McCredie SOLO//
Suppose wherever you may place me,
I'm sure that I'd be fine,
It might not last forever,
(But) As long as the sun on leith still shines
Double Chorus
06 Ode to the Leven
[Lyrics: 'Ode to the Leven Water' by Tobias Smollett]
On Leven's banks, while free to rome,
And tune the rural pipes to love,
I envied not the happiest swain
That ever trod the Arcadian plain.
Pure stream, in whose transparent wave
My youthful limbs I want to leave
No torrents stain thy limpid source,
No rocks impede thy dimpling course,
That sweetly warbles o'er its bed,
With white round polished pebbles spread;
While, lightly poised, the scaly brood
In myriads cleave thy crystal flood;
Oh to the Leven
Oh to the Leven
(The) Springing trout in speckled pride,
(The) salmon, monarch of the tide;
The ruthless pike, intent on war,
The silver eel, and mottled par.
Devolving from thy parent lake,
A charming maze thy waters make,
By bowers of birch and groves of pine,
And edges flowered with eglantine.
Still on thy banks so gaily green
My numerous herds and flocks be seen:
And lasses chant o'er the pail,
With shepherds piping throughout the dale.
On Leven's banks, while free to rove,
An ancient faith, that knows each cove,
//Tom Adamson SOLO//
And hearts resolved and hands prepared
Where beauties pulse flows, so unimpaired.
Oh to the Leven
Oh to the Leven
07 Old Sins Make Long Shadows
Chorus
It's already winter, and the fire's now embers
Giving, glowing warm wisdom, long past November
To say to no one 'n' just to, to Keep the wood on, is a,
sure sign you need the company
V1
Old sins make long shadows
While new ones make us all repent
A single petal utters poetry
While a rose thorn makes a dent
Chorus

09 As of Late (Natalie)
Chorus
Natalie, as of late I've missin' you
I've missin'... you're lips on mine
Natalie, as of late you've been on my mind
You've haunting me, so I might find… That,
V1
You were only, a look in my eye
A flight that I might fly.
To be lonely, to be hopin' you might find
A laugh, between a sigh.
Pre Chorus
So many people around us
Who could take you away
So many people around us
Who knows what they might say
Chorus
Natalie, as of late I've kissin' you
I've missin'... you're lips on mine
Natalie, as of late you've been on my mind
You've haunting me, so I might find
V3
We speak for hours, Then we dance the night away
Toe to toe, i'm leading you astray,
You have shown me, how I might survive,
A life, filled with pride
Pre Chorus
So many people around us
Who dance and sing and sway
So many people around us
Who've come out tonight just to say:
//Will Pound SOLO//

As of late, Natalie you've been on my mind
You've haunting me, so I might find
10 Queensberry Rules
This song tells the gruesome tail James Douglas 2nd Marquess of Queensberry and his son James Douglas, 3rd Marquess of Queensberry (1697–1715), known until 1711 as the Earl of Drumlanrig. Accounts describe him as an "imbecile" and violently insane. Due to child deformity he was publicly announced as deceased, and was then kept under lock and key from childhood at Queensberry House in Edinburgh; now part of the Scottish Parliament complex.
It is reported that when his father and the rest of the household left to sign the Act of Union in 1707, the disruption from either the festivities or the riots resulted in his escape. The young Earl (then around ten years old) proceeded to slaughter the only person left in the house, a young scullion in the house kitchen. Roasting him alive on a spit, Douglas began to eat him before he was discovered and apprehended. He was afterwards known as 'The Cannibalistic Idiot'. He still went on to become the 3rd Marquess of Queensberry!
//Jamie McCredie SOLO//
V1
In 1707, a Gruesome tale arose,
The Day they singed the treaty, b'twix the Thistle and the rose,
Wait a while, and it all becomes so clear,
And save a smile, till the Death draws out a snear.
V2
('Cause) you your self were kept fe grinnin', abused your power for a crime,
So marked his death n kept him hidden, to save a name so refined,
So years passed, and your status grew tall,
'Till that one day, when you left the beast alone.
V3
('Cause) no one cared about this son,
The one who's grave marks him young,
So you left to make the secret sighing', while all the time your bairn was whinin'
You hid his life, from public view,
You locked this child up, what a thing to do… oh
Chorus
How do you measure your time and your space?
With the speed and the motion of the next man's pace?
How do you measure your time and your space?
Are you not conscious of your gatherings and haste?
V4
Creeping softly, Through the house,
Searching through rooms, as if to pounce,
Growing closer, to the kitchen boy alone,
The boy turns round quick, to a blood curdling grown.
V5
Returning to the house, to see the boy,
Spread across the kitchen's fire, spit impaled now just a roast,
To see your son, with nae fear,
A proud grin upon him, a snort & then a sneer.
Double Chorus
